With a long history of strong performances and dedicated athletes, Boys Track & Field remains a cornerstone of Stony Brook athletics and a program that continues to shape generations of Brookers.
Track & Field is one of the most storied athletic traditions at The Stony Brook School. For generations, Brookers have competed on the track, in the field events that shape the program’s culture of endurance, discipline, and determination.
The Boys Track & Field team is part of a unified program that trains together and competes in both boys’ and girls’ divisions. Athletes compete across a wide range of events, including sprints, distance races, hurdles, jumps, and throws, giving students of many different strengths the opportunity to contribute to the team’s success.
More than just competition, the program emphasizes steady improvement, personal accountability, and perseverance. Practices are built around developing strong fundamentals, pushing athletes to reach new personal bests, and supporting one another as teammates. Many athletes join the team with little experience and quickly discover both a passion for the sport and the satisfaction that comes from hard work and measurable progress.
