Building Life-Long Relationships

The Alumni and Development Office exists to build life-long relationships with alumni, parents, and friends who share a passion for SBS’ unique education of the heart and mind. By communicating the excellent work being done and the areas of strategic opportunity, by developing avenues of involvement, and by nurturing relationships, the office seeks to channel alumni interest into meaningful engagement. Toward this end, the Alumni and Development Office staff solicits the financial resources necessary to fulfill the School’s mission through gifts for general support, capital projects, and endowment.

With nearly 4,200 members, the SBS alumni community is spread across the globe in 61 countries. Whether living in the New York City metro area or at a distance, alumni play an active role in the lives of current and future “Brookers.” Here are a few ways to stay involved long after graduation:

  • Donate to SBS Next
  • Visit campus and show your school to your family and friends
  • Volunteer to help with an on-campus or regional event
  • Attend a regional gathering
  • Cheer on the SBS Bears at an athletic event
  • Connect online through FacebookTwitter, and Instagram
  • Recommend The Stony Brook School or its Summer Programs
