A lofty dream that for many years lived only in conversations in the Falcon’s Nest became a reality over the weekend when the dinghy sail team clinched a spot in the Mallory National Fleet Race Championship, the biggest scholastic regatta in the country.
The John Rogers Hegeman Chapel is one of the founding buildings on The Stony Brook campus. Many lives have been impacted and transformed inside its enduring sanctuary. As part of The Stony Brook School Centennial celebration, the Hegeman Chapel walkway is being revitalized.
On Saturday, May 22, eleven members of the SBS community chose to get baptized, signifying a transformation of their lives—not by human effort, but by God’s amazing, life-changing power.
This past Friday, the 31st PSAA Track & Field Championship was held on our Marvin W. Goldberg Track, and our student-athletes successfully defended the boys’ and girls’ league crowns from 2019 on home soil!

SBS student Gavin Hudson '24 recently sailed in the Orange Bowl Regatta and made it to the front page of the Miami Herald! Despite rough seas and high winds, Gavin and his dinghy 161100 can be seen skillfully maneuvering past the Miami skyline on December 30. Way to go, Gavin!
