Mrs. Davey’s Anatomy & Physiology class welcomed Dr. Todd Griffin P’19, ‘23, ’25, of Stony Brook Medicine, for a lecture on the evolution of minimally invasive surgery.
His presentation, which focused on the advancements in laparoscopy and robotic-assisted procedures, allowed students to get a first-hand look from an experienced professional.
The lecture included detailed explanations and real visuals, which helped connect surgical techniques to the concepts students have been studying in the A&P curriculum and illustrated how these innovations are reshaping medicine.
