With a long history of strong performances and dedicated athletes, Girls Track & Field remains a cornerstone of Stony Brook athletics and a program that continues to shape generations of Brookers.
Track & Field is one of the most storied athletic traditions at The Stony Brook School. For generations, Brookers have competed on the track, in the field events that shape the program’s culture of endurance, discipline, and determination.
The girls compete as part of the broader Track & Field program, training alongside the boys’ team while competing in girls’ events. This structure fosters a strong sense of community while allowing athletes to challenge themselves in a wide variety of disciplines, from sprinting and distance running to jumping and throwing events.
The program welcomes both experienced athletes and students looking to try something new. Through consistent training, goal setting, and teamwork, athletes develop not only their physical abilities but also confidence, resilience, and leadership. Track & Field offers a unique environment where individual achievement and team success go hand in hand, as every point and personal record contribute to the collective effort.
