Summer at SBS

Founded in 1959, Summer Programs at The Stony Brook School have sought to encourage and strengthen families by offering them a place where their children will be inspired, challenged, encouraged, and well cared for. We are excited to continue the mission of challenging young men and women to know Christ, love others, develop their skills, and to serve others with the gifts and knowledge they have been given. Our focus has not changed as we head into our 62nd summer.

We offer a wide variety of program options for campers entering grades one through 10 so that each child can find a program that best fits his or her interests.

Our programs are split into three different categories: Sports, STEM, and Specialty. Each program within these categories focus on skill development as well as on developing a passion for activity and creativity.

We don’t have a registration deadline; however, spaces do fill up quickly, so early registrations are encouraged.

At the center of everything we do is a team of loving individuals who have dedicated their summer to serving your family. Our staff members are well trained to provide focused care for each camper and are well-versed in the activities and knowledge critical to success in their specific programs. As a Christian school and camp, we ask our staff members to follow the lifestyle that Jesus Christ lived by faithfully serving others.

SBS Sports Camps have a long, proud tradition of being among the best on Long Island. Our professional coaches bring excitement and expertise to every aspect of athletics. We go beyond just teaching the skills; our programs have a proven track record of developing character, perseverance, and confidence. Our facilities include four soccer fields, an indoor swimming pool, two full-court gymnasiums, collegiate track, and six tennis courts.

You will pass, dribble, drive, and swish all the way to the basket, while working on the fundamentals of the game. Whether you are new to basketball or a seasoned player, you will work on developing and honing individual and team-related skills. Each day will be filled with tournament play, scrimmages, drills, and skill workshops. Our coaches are intentional about maintaining a high level of instruction, while fostering an environment filled with energy and excitement.
