Additionally, we will be doing an in-person (socially distanced) car processional on SUNDAY, MAY 24 (date changed for inclement weather).
For those of you who live close enough to campus to make a day trip, we encourage you to decorate your car and come participate in the Senior Car Processiona
l up Chapman Parkway on SUNDAY, May 24
! We will make your caps and gowns available for pick up the week before so you can decorate your cap (if you desire) and so you can ride up Chapman in celebratory style!
The processional will begin at 11 AM, so please line up in the Sterling Bank parking lot by 10:45 AM. We suggest that someone else drives the vehicle so that you can stand up through a sunroof, or lean out a window, or be seated in the back of a truck, so that everyone watching the parade can see you and celebrate you!
Please note that, because of limited space, we can only allow one car per graduate to process.
You will process up Chapman while your name is announced, to the cheers of your teachers lined up Chapman Parkway!
Because some of our seniors are unable to make the celebration, we have ordered Fatheads, which are large cardboard cutouts, of the students’ faces. When each name is announced, the student’s faces will be paraded up the street by their advisor!
For all who cannot come to campus on May 24, the event will be live-streamed, and you will be celebrated with your classmates. And whether you're there or not, we will have a small gift for each of you.
As we look to the August graduation celebration, from the responses that have come in it looks like AUGUST 7-8 would work the best for most of our senior class.
Tentatively as of now, those two days will be filled with activities, from time at the beach, to some type of Class Challenges, highlighting the traditions of the Senior Luncheon, Baccalaureate, Class Night, Graduation, and ending with music and dancing!
Stay tuned for more details!
